WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World of Words, where we gather and answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you read last?
What will you read next?

Happy Wednesday! How is your week going so far? We are still stuck inside, and the weather is still cold, but other than that, everything is alright.

What are you currently reading?

  1. The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst: I am 40% in, and although I love the story, I am not very keen on the FMC, but I will withhold judgment for now and see how it goes.
  2. Violet Thistlewaite Is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz: I am reading this one as a pick-up book for a book club I am part of this year. Very excited about it and curious to see if it will be as good as its cover 🙂

What did you read last?

  1. The Tea Dragon Society Trilogy by K. O’Neill: review is coming out and I just love these graphic novels
  2. Loving Romeo (Magnolia Falls Series) by Laura Pavlov: This is one of the series I want to read this year as part of my romance era. It was an alright read, review is coming for it as well.
  3. Séance Tea Party by Reimena Yee: another graphic novel, I love reading them in between novels as a palate cleanser. This was a miss for me.

What will you read next?

I’m not sure yet. I had to pause the previous two books I was reading because my mood shifted, and I wasn’t enjoying them anymore. As a mood reader, this is something I’ve learned to accept. I’ll return to them when I feel ready, but for now, I’ll leave this blank and see how I feel and what I’m up for when I am done with my current reads.

Have you read any of these books? What are your WWWs for this week?

    1. It is quite popular, and I have been wanting to read it since last year. It is getting better past the halfway mark. The Higashino and Gulik books sound interesting. I hope that you will enjoy them 🙂

  3. I want to read so many of these books! The Spellshop was an average read for me. I haven’t rushed to read any more from the author.

    Keep warm!

    1. I feel like The Spellshop could go either way for me. It all depends on how everything will be wrapped up. For now, I am 50/50. I still am not very fond of Kiela haha

Thank you, we are! Even though you know best how it is staying home with a toddler 😀

      Happy reading ❤

      1. I just thought that it was a bit slow in places.

My toddler keeps trying to strip off 😂 one minute he wants trousers the next not. We have the heating on 😂

        Happy reading too ♥️

      2. Hahaha oh dear, why toddlers do that?!!! Hahah mine is in the phase where she has to do everything herself now and if I dont let her she starts a tantrum. Ah not easy being a parent but is never boring at least 🙂

Thank you, Emily you too ♡♡

      3. It is largely caused by his autistic brother. As soon as he gets home from school everything is off 🤣 sometimes he wants to take off socks and put on trousers but he can’t do it so gives up fairly quickly 🤣

        Never boring!

      4. Ohhh, what a cutie! Haha I can imagine you running after him, trying to collect everything, and attempting to dress him up. I know for us it’s nearly mission impossible, it’s like trying to catch a chicken!

        Absolutely! ❤

      5. He is so full of energy and hides under the table 😂 the funniest is when he just lays down on the floor with his eyes open and makes a snoring noise where he is ‘fake sleeping’ 😂

  4. So many cute covers in your recent and current reads. Agree with being a mood reader, it can be really difficult to pick the next read so my only constant it whatever the book clubs pick!

    Liked by 1 person

    1. Thank you! Absolutely, I always struggle with what the read next and I often end up pausing a book due to my moodiness. At least you have a constant this is great. What book/s are you most excited about reading as a book club pick?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. Ha I know that feeling well. I love the pause feature on The StoryGraph for that very reason, reminds me what I need to come back to.

We only know the next book on the 1st of each month, but I get to pick for May and I’m pretty excited for my choice and I think it might appeal to everyone else as well – A Thread of Light by Neema Shah (I used to work with the author!)

      2. Yes! Otherwise, I will forget completely haha

Oh, this is so exciting, and I just checked the book, and it sounds interesting. I would like to read more historical fiction, so definitely adding it to my TBR. Hope you will enjoy the other books as well 🙂

  5. I liked The Spellshop okay, but it didn’t really pull me in like I wanted. I’ve got Violet Thistlewaite on my TBR, as well! I hope it’s good!

    1. Same here, it is unfortunate though. I did enjoy the latter book much more than the previous one. So I hope you enjoy it when you get to it. The cover is gorgeous though haha
