Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s prompt: Books on My Summer 2026 To-Read List

Hello everyone, how have you been? It is very hot here in Bulgaria, and unfortunately, we can’t stay outside for long. How is the weather at your place, and what books will you be reading this summer? Here are my books for this season:

  1. Society of Magical Botanists by Heather Schneider: this is a series or a trilogy, not sure for now, there are only 3 books, and I have already read the first one and started the sequel. Very pleasantly surprised by the story and the characters.
  2. Emily Wilde by Heather Fawcett: another series I have been trying to get to, do you notice a theme!
  3. Greenwood by Michael Christie: this one is a book club pick, but I have been wanting to read it, so I was very happy when it was selected for our next read
  4. Adversary to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer: the 4th upcoming book of the series, I am patiently waiting for its release this August!
  5. Fragile Hopes by Lisina Coney: I really wanted to read this one, but I didn’t get approved for it on NetGalley. Luckily, it has already been released, so I will try to get it. I am curious whether I will like the age-gap trope.
  6. This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page: I just fell in love with the cover, but I keep hearing great things about it
  7. The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer, John Burgoyne: I am very excited about this non-fiction book
  8. One & Only by Maurene Goo
  9. Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett: this is one of the most anticipated books of this year, so I can’t wait to get to it
  10. Pathfinding: On Walking, Motherhood and Freedom by Kerri Andrews: last but not least another non-fiction I am looking forward to reading

Let me know if we have matching books, and if you would be interested in reading any of these?

  5. I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Adversary to the Villain, though it will probably be the fall or winter before I get to read it. I loved This Book Made Me Think of You, it’s my only true 5-star read of the year so far.

  6. Nice list, Lin. I read and enjoyed the first Villain book, so I need to get back to it. I hope you love This Book Made Me Think of You as much as I did. We had really hot weather for a couple of weeks, but it is back down to tolerable temperatures here.

    1. Thank you, Carla. Awww I’m so happy you read and enjoyed the Villain book!! This makes me so happy I really hope you will enjoy the rest of the books too. I think I will enjoy it because everyone keeps raving about it and I trust your taste. Ah, here it is getting hotter by the day we need to turn the air-conditioning on… happy reading and I will try to catch up with your blog ❤️

  7. I strongly recommend you to save Emily Wilde up for fall/winter to enjoy it more, because of the cozy vibes and very wintery landscapes. Plus, these books are set in November to February, so in the middle of winter!

    1. Ahhh actually you are probably the 2nd person to tell me that, so I might as well listen and save them for that period. This makes me even more excited to read them! Thank you, Laurie ❤️

  8. It’s super hot here in Arizona, U.S.A., as well. Thank goodness for air conditioning! I hibernate in the summer and only leave my nice, cool house when I absolutely have to.

I haven’t read any of the books on your list, although THIS BOOK MADE ME THINK OF YOU is one I want to read as well. I hope you enjoy all these.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

    Susan
