Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s prompt: My Favorite Books by My Favorite Authors (Pick your ten favorite authors and your favorite book written by each one of them.) (submitted by Cathy @ WhatCathyReadNext)

Happy Tuesday! Here has been crazy, lots of thunder and rain and now a heatwave… Hope you all are doing great. I am excited for today’s topic, but before I dive into my favourite books, here is a sneak peek of what we have been up to this past month. We had many birthdays and many more are to come this summer, my grandad turned 80 as well, a wedding upcoming of a dear friend of mine, so the schedule is full 😀

In no particular order, my top 10 favourite books by my favourite authors are:

  1. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman: I will always include Backman in any favourite list. I loved the books and the movie (the original one, not the American one) so many emotions. He has become an author I look forward to.
  2. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green: I still consider this to be the saddest book I have ever read. I still stand by this claim. Although I have read it only once, I loved it, and I cannot bring myself to re-read it because I know I will cry for days… I love Green’s books.
  3. Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi: This one was a hidden gem I am so glad I found. Still need to complete the series.
  4. Foster by Claire Keegan: Short but so impactful, I went and bought a lot of Keegan’s backlist, and I am looking forward to reading them all. I love her writing style and how much she can convey despite how short her book is.
  5. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune: Another all-time favourite, even though I am quite disappointed in where his agenda is going…
  6. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness: Yes, I love this one and the TV show as well!
  7. Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer: I am aware that my favourite list is pretty much the same every time, but this time around, there are some new additions that I have discovered this year, and this one is the first. I am so looking forward to the 4th book to come out this August. This series has grabbed me from the get-go, the humour, the characters and everything is great.
  8. The Summer of Lost and Found by Toni Blake: Another new addition, I am so glad I read it. Will be reading more of Toni’s work.
  9. Death and the Gardener by Georgi Gospodinov: A Bulgarian author I have heard so much about but never actually considered until this year. This book hit different and I am all here for it. I have his books lined up!
  10. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: My very first favourite book, the one that made me fall in love with reading, I just had to include it 🙂

Happy reading to you all, and let me know if you see a favourite here!
