Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s prompt: Favourite secondary or minor characters

Happy Tuesday! Today’s topic is one that, unfortunately, I am not really feeling, and no matter how much I scratch my brain, I cannot seem to come up with an answer. Therefore, I am going rogue and picking a different prompt: Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About!

  1. The Viking’s Chosen by Quinn Loftis: I read this book as part of a book tour back in 2021. I remember enjoying it since I gave it 5 stars, but I cannot recall anything.
  2. Turtles All the Way Down by John Green: read in 2019, I remember loving it back then. I recall very little of it, though. John Green was huge, and I still think The Fault in Our Stars is the saddest book I’ve read…
  3. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli: read in 2018, I loved it, another 5-star read, I haven’t even written a review, I remember the plot very vaguely, I do recall that they made a movie and I was excited to watch it and I never did for some reason. Have you seen the movie? If you have let me know how you found it!
  4. Finding Claire Fletcher by Lisa Regan: I received this book through the publisher back in 2017. I know I enjoyed it, but in retrospect, this was a very heavy read, and it was one of the reasons why I no longer read books with such content. The author is lovely, this much I remember 🙂
  5. The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary: more recent read, 2023, I don’t remember anything other than the premise, honestly.
  6. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy: honestly, I hate that I remember so little of this one. I read it in 2022, and it was great. I will definitely be re-reading this one.
  7. 999 – Life on the Frontline by Dan Farnworth: My era of reading for work back in 2020, when I was working in the ER Department and getting ready for my paramedic studies. I don’t remember much of it at all, but it must have been a good read since I gave it 5 stars.
  8. The Ghost Garden by Emma Carroll: According to my notes, I read it in 2021. I was in my middle-grade reading era. I need to read more MD books!!
  9. And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman: I remember listening to the audiobook of this one, and I definitely should not have done that because when I read it in 2024, I was pregnant and having a really hard time due to my difficult pregnancy. I will re-read this one as well.
  10. The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang: read in 2023, I don’t remember a thing, but I rated it 5 stars…

Well, let me know if you have read any of these books, and what is one book you read and loved but don’t remember much of?
