Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Meeghan Reads— you can check out the upcoming topics here.
The topic for this Tuesday: Top 5 Books about religion

A topic I would have never guessed I would be excited about. Had you told me a year ago that I would be interested in religion, I would have laughed at you and probably would have thrown a joke. My whole life, I have considered myself as someone who believes in something, not someone. But I never had any interest in reading about such a topic whatsoever. Until recently, when something switched, and I received a conviction to read the Bible. In short, I bought my very first Bible, and I am reading it for the very first time in my life. Regardless of your religion and your views, I hope and pray that one day every single person will have the chance to meet God and Jesus Christ. It will be a life-changing experience, and I am speaking as someone who was in the dark, but now I have seen the light and would love for everyone to see it too.

I love you all, and I don’t care about your gender, race, background, status, etc. We are all children of God and deserve to be loved! Without further ado, may God be with you and protect you always, to whoever reads and accepts this message.

  1. The Holy Bible! Without a shadow of doubt, this should be at the top; this is the living word of God. A source of life and understanding of life itself. There is so much more to it.
  2. The Screwtape Letters by C. S. Lewis: I am yet to read this one, but definitely a book I keep hearing a lot about
  3. Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis: Another great book of understanding Christianity, which I need to get into
  4. The Case for Heaven by Lee Strobel: This one I recently added to my TBR, and I was very intrigued by it. It is about a journalist who investigates evidence about life after death. It would be interesting to see how the author tackles the religious aspect.
  5. Confessions by St. Augustine by Augustine of Hippo: I just discovered this one whilst searching for books to add, and it sounds interesting
  6. The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri: I know this is the 6th book, but we cannot exclude this masterpiece!

I would like to leave you with this:
