Happy New Year, everyone. I hope this one will be a better one for all of us. I have taken some time off social media, and the book community, my website included. It was a much-needed break and reality check for a lot of things. With the little one growing every day, the responsibilities and everything that comes with keeping a little human alive grow bigger as well. It is inevitable, especially now that here in Bulgaria the political and socioeconomic dynamics have changed with the coming of the new currency and the fall of our goverment it feels like we are living in a dystopian Orwell’s novel… Despite all the challenges we are all facing here, we are still coping. I thank God whenever I can for the fact that he is protecting us, and in times like these, he is with us because he knows we need him.
This aside, a lot has happened, as mentioned, but most importantly, we are all healthy. Here are some snippets from the last year and the beginning of this one.

Book-wise, I was at a halt for a few months, I was burnt out, I was dealing with some demons of my own, and I have only started reading again this month. This time, at my own pace, no more ARCs would be accepted from authors and publishing houses. This year will be on my own terms, and reading should not become a chore or an obligation, especially when I have my own family to take care of. Here are the books I read so far this year, and full reviews will be coming out soon:

The Switch and The Last Letter were on my TBR for a long time, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by both of them. Have you read any of these books?
I am also noticing that my taste in the genres I prefer reading is changing. I don’t know, maybe it is because I am turning 35 this year and am getting older, lol. Nevertheless, I still enjoy fantasy, just not YA as much anymore, I must say. Have you noticed a similar trend in your reading preferences?
I wish you all a very happy and peaceful 2026! Also happy reading all ❤
