WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @Taking On A World of Words, where we gather and answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you read last?
What will you read next?

Hello again, I am kind of back, but I am not going to be as present as I have been in the past. I won’t make any promises that I might not be able to keep.

We have been doing OK, but we were very busy and nearly lost a close family member. Thankfully, the worst was avoided, but we have to provide some help and support for the time being.

Life is hectic, unpredictable, however still beautiful.

Here is a sneak peek of what we have been up to recently:

This aside, I would also like to express how thankful I am to all of you, who gave me the support and the sense of community that was much needed. Thank you for your kind words and for being there and understanding.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

WHAT DID YOU READ LAST?

Nothing read recently.

WHAT WILL YOU READ NEXT?

There are a couple of books I need to read next, but I can’t decide which one to choose. Guess I will decide on the spot when I am done with the current read.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

  1. So wonderful to see you here again Lin. I’m so sorry you and your family have been having a tough time, but it looks like there’s been some lovely moments too. I adore the pictures of your little one with her cute hands!

Love the sound of your current read, history always forgets too many people, and the humorous spin sounds great.

  2. Wonderful to see you post again, Lin! I’m sorry that things have been so rough for you and the family. I hope things get steadily better soon! Those pictures all look wonderful. I hope you find something great to read that reels you in and takes you mind off reality, even for a little while. ✨

  3. Great Nobodies sounds fun! I did my WWW at my place, but here it is as well:

WHAT have you finished reading recently? Operation Underworld, a look into collaboration between the Italian America Mafia and the American government during World War 2.

WHAT are you reading now? There is No Place For Us, on the working poor who are also homeless.

WHAT are you reading next? Possibly The Day of Battle, on the American invasion of Sicily and Italy during World War 2. It dawned on me while reading Underworld that I know little about this part of the war, aside from paratroopers being employed in Sicily and the US army destroying an ancient monastery.

I’ve had a fiction heavy month so I’m apparently trying to make up for it with some NF!

    1. Oh, you are definitely onto something here. I used to live in Sicily, so those books sound appealing to me too. I do hope you enjoy them, and Greatest Nobodies is fun, and I am enjoying it so far, even though I am not reading as much as I would like to, but I do so whenever I have a chance. Happy reading!

    1. Hey Emily! Thank you and I am sending some love back to you, too!

I love that you are already planning on reading some winter vibes books. I can’t wait for the summer to be over already! Hope you enjoy your current read 🙂

      1. ❤️

I love the winter and the darker books. There is something more cosy about them! I am excited for the end of summer. We have rain forecast for the rest of the week so I am happy about that. None of this sun lark 🤣

      2. Sameeee! Here we had a thunderstorm last night and I loved it. Still very hot today, but can’t wait for those autumn vibes!!

      3. I love a thunder storm too. They are rare here and still make me jump but the hope is that cooler weather is on the way 😂 we have had a good couple of weeks of cooler weather thank goodness. Love the Autumn!! Shops are stocking such cute stuff. Not that we can get any of it due to lack of space but even so 😂🤣

      4. Same here!! Love it however if im alone I would be scared too 😅😅

Omg tell me about it! I bought my daughter so many cute autumn outfits already I have nowhere to store them either but they were too cute to pass by especially now I found some bargains from Pepco for like £2-3! They know how to make discounts over there and I am weak and couldn’t resist 🤣🤣

      5. There is something frightening about it 🤣

AAAHHHH we love a sale too. The most annoying thing is that there is hardly any boys stuff and even when you do find it, it isnt as interesting as girls stuff 🙄

      6. There is indeed!!

If there is a sale, I am there, period! I know, you can still find some cute boys’ stuff, but there is not as much variety as with the girls’ stuff… Hope you are doing alright 🙂

      7. Definitely!

Nope. Boys stuff is often on a random couple of racks. You can’t see it through all the girls stuff…

We are all good here. My son (and partner who is a teacher) has returned to school. He has been a bit sad which is not like him. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of it soon.

Hope all is ok at your end 😊

      8. I feel you! It certainly is more difficult shopping for a boy than it is for a girl…

Oh bless him hope he will be able to enjoy school and that this is just one of those periods kids and babies go through.

We are doing alright, thank you! I hope the same is on your end too and can’t wait to catch up with your blog ♡

      9. It is. I couldn’t find the boy section in Sainsbury’s at all 😂

Hmmm I don’t know. With his Autism and Speech and Language issues I think it is only going to get worse 😔

❤️ Excellent news! We are all good here. I still can’t believe that he has been back to school for 3 days!!

I can only wish that it will get better over time, I’m sending positive vibes your way!

Time flies by indeed and it goes by without us even noticing sometimes. Hope you are having a great day ❤️

    1. Thank you, Emma! I am doing so much better, but life can still get difficult in an instant. It is unfortunate that it came out of nowhere, and I was forced to put a hold on everything else. However, I am grateful that everything is falling into place now, slowly but surely. Hope you enjoy your reads!

    1. Thank you! We try to make the most of a difficult period. They do indeed, expect when they do their business, I swear sometimes it’s worse than a grown-up’s! 😅😅
