Book Blogger Hop is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. The meme occurs weekly, on a Friday. Each week, a specific prompt is chosen, a book-related question for participants to address.
Today’s prompt: Have you ever wondered why a passionate book blogger might suddenly stop posting or delete their blog without notice?
Happy Friday, it has been a while and I can’t believe it is the end og May already! Today’s topic is actually very fitting and interesting, so I decided to partake and share my point of view.
I personally know a few bloggers who were active and have disappeared without explanation. And it happened to me in the past with my first blog, due to me moving country and starting a new life abroad, it was impossible to keep up with a blog. From what I recall, I left without a notice and just stopped posting, not because I wanted it to be that way, but simply because life took over and I never got around to doing it, and one forgets to be honest when there are other priorities.
Some of you might have noticed that I do not post as much as I used to, and I mentioned why on another meme. I have no intentions of abandoning the ship, so to speak, but I will take my time to rest for now and recenter. Additionally, you never know what curveball life will throw at you; hence, a life-changing event, such as health issues with oneself or a loved one, can cause this chain of events. Additionally, losing a job or changing one can also play a part. I have not mentioned this, but my husband has left his job due to stress and overwork, so now we are spending more time together with our daughter, and this also takes away from the time I have to dedicate to the blog, not complaining or anything, just stating a fact. Also, my mum, although she is fine now, will undergo surgery soon, and it is constantly on the back of my mind… There are so many reasons why one person can decide to leave their beloved blog/hobby and not say a word to anyone, and this also unfortunately includes the death of the blogger…
This is my interjection on today’s topic. I hope you all are doing well, have wonderful reads and are taking care of yourselves!
