What an amazing, fun and informative book this one was.
I have always found these creatures mesmerising and mysterious, and c’mon so cutee!!
So if you, like me, like axolotls and would like to learn more about them, this book would be a great resource for big children and small ones! The author covers everything from their origins to their organs and regenerative abilities, as well as every morph and fun facts.
The book reads like an encyclopedia, and the language is easy to follow and is perfect for the curious at heart. I love that we have so many pictures of the animals and that it is also interactive and not just a block of text and words thrown at the reader. The author also raises awareness of how endangered they are due to pollution and that their natural habitat is shrinking due to overpopulation and construction… It is sad that we are allowing this to happen to our nature and its fauna and flora…
I recommend this book with both hands; you will definitely learn a lot of things about this species and will appreciate how evolution creates such amazing creatures and how lucky we are to live amongst them.
