Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s prompt: Book Titles That Describe Me/My Life (Example titles: Well Traveled could describe you if you like to travel, Hotshot Doc could describe you if you’re an awesome doctor, Falling into Place could describe a life where things are starting to work out, An Infinite Love Story could describe your relationship, It Could Have Been Her could describe a thing you’re happy you avoided or a path you could have taken but didn’t. You can explain your choices or not, and they can be as specific or as abstract as you’d like.) (Submitted by Susan @ blogginboutbooks.com)
Happy Tuesday! It has been a while. Hope you are all well. We have been out and about, dealing with preps for Easter (Happy belated Easter if you celebrated!), and so much more is going on that I will not bore you with. Here, the weather has been nice one day and awful the very next, hence we might have caught a cold, fingers crossed it will be just that! So many people are sick right now. Stay safe!
Okay, today’s topic is quite interesting, and I must say I had to think hard about book titles. Without further ado, in no particular order, and with no connection to the plot of the books per se this is what I came up with:
- A Family Matter by Claire Lynch: Since I have a family of my own now, I guess the title fits
- The Odds of You by Kate Dramis: This title immediately makes me think of my daughter and the odds of her and me being here alive after my difficult pregnancy, thank God he was watching over both of us!
- It’s Always Been You by Samantha Brinn: Ok, this one is dedicated to my husband! If he ever reads this, he will say I am taking the piss hahah
- The Best, Most Awful Job: Twenty Writers Talk Honestly About Motherhood by Katerine May: I think this one is self-explanatory 😀
- Pathfinding by Kerri Andrews: Every once in a while, one finds themselves lost in the world and everything that comes with it. I love this book title.
- Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall: A very fitting one giving the situation in my country and not only…
- Counting Miracles by Nicholas Sparks: God always finds a way to show his presence in our lives. I am still counting the blessings and miracles! May he bless you and your loved ones, too!
- I Cheerfully Refuse by Leif Enger: Is it just me, or does age make us less tolerant of nonsense? I suppose this is an affirmative title that reflects the season of my life where I refuse to be anything else but myself and stand by my principles and beliefs, cheerfully and respectfully that is.
- The House for Lost Things by C. G. Drews: Having a toddler does make my house a museum for lost things that I will probably never find in my lifetime… For starters, I am still looking for 2 pairs of socks from 2 months ago… Who can relate?
- Book Lovers by Emily Henry: Ending on a positive note! Shout out to all my fellow book lovers out there!
