Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s prompt: Book Covers Featuring Cool/Pretty/Unique/etc. Typography (Typography is the art of arranging letters so they look visually appealing and more interesting than, for example, the body text of this blog post you’re reading now. I did a similar post to this a few years ago, so if you need inspiration on what I’m talking about click here to have a look.)

Happy Tuesday, we made it! The snow has started to melt, but at least the little one was happy to see it.

Today’s prompt is quite interesting, and I am excited to find some books that fit the requirements. The books I’ve chosen actually have both a pretty cover and cool typography, in my opinion. I know everything is subjective, and some people might not feel the same way, but that’s alright.

  1. Same As It Ever Was by Claire Lombardo: This book is new to me, and I recently bought it, trying to venture out of my comfort zone. I find the cover and lettering very pleasing, which was also why I choose it haha
  2. The Tea Dragon Society by K. O’Neill: I love this trilogy of graphic novels; it is pure cuteness and at the same time so inspiring. I will review all the books soon 🙂
  3. An Ancient Witch’s Guide to Modern Dating by Cecilia Edward: Another new book, I just love the title and the cover!
  4. The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer: I have to admit I fell for the pretty cover, and I know nothing about this book, except that it is a non-fiction. Still looking forward to reading it.
  5. Violet Thistlewaite Is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz: Pretty book and even more interesting title, so I had to get it.
  6. The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame: I loved this classic book; a review of it is coming tomorrow.
  7. Emily Wilde’s by Heather Fawcett: I chose the second book because I love green, but really, all the covers are so pretty. Still have to read them.
  8. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir: This book was one of my favourites last year, and I just love the cover and the letters. Can’t wait for the movie to come out, which reminds me I need to reread it soon!
  9. The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong: There are different covers but I think I like this one the most.
  10. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke: Last but not least, I will always claim this is the most beautiful book cover art that I have seen. It is just gorgeous. I saw the movie ages ago, and I loved it. Now I need to read the actual books 🙂

Have you read any of these books, and what do you think about the covers?

    1. Thank you, Dini! There were so many great books to choose from, but yes, Inkheart is so stunning, I had the physical copy and it is even more beautiful in person. The photo does not give it justice. Violet Thistlewaite was a great find i bought it only for the cover 😄 happy reading ♡♡

    1. Now that you mentioned it, it does indeed! I will be trying and read the second book and hopefully will enjoy it more than A psalm for the wild built, although I might reread it and see if my feelings have changed. Hope you have a great day and happy reading!
