Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s prompt: Top ten new-to-me authors I read in 2025

It has been a while since I did a bookish meme, so here I join in.

For today’s topic, there are many new authors I discovered last year, but I’ll be featuring only the ones whose work I ended up loving or enjoying more than average. So without further ado, here are my top 7 new-to-me authors from last year in no particular order:

  1. Seoul Shadows by Yuna Lim
  2. Yeonnam-dong’s Smiley Laundromat by Kim Jyiun
  3. Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
  4. The Very Secret Society Of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
  5. The Ghostkeeper by Johanna Taylor
  6. Wintering by Kartherin May
  7. The Dragon’s Apprentice by James Riley
