Book Blogger Hop is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. The meme occurs weekly, on a Friday. Each week, a specific prompt is chosen, a book-related question for participants to address.

Happy Friday! Gloomy and rainy over here in Bulgaria today, also quite chilly for May, I must say. Some people are still keeping their heating on…

Today’s prompt: What are some of your favourite books to re-read? (submitted by Nicole @ The Christian Fiction Girl)

Ohhh, I really like this prompt because I LOVE RE-READING favourite books! And here are the ones I re-read every now and then, if not every year:

  1. The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune
  2. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
  3. A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
  4. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
  5. Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
  6. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
  7. The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbowski
  8. The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
  9. The World of Beatrix Potter collection
  10. Foster by Claire Keegan

These are the books on top of my head. There are probably others, but these are the ones close and dear to my heart. Let me know if you have read any of these and which books you re-read?

  1. Mine would be less known:
    Le Grand Meaulnes, by Alain-Fournier
    The Dream, by Zola
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, by Carson McCullers

    1. The only one I know is Zola, although I have not read anything of his yet. Would definitely check these out 🙂

      1. The Dream is short. Possibly his shortest, though probably not the most characteristic of his.
The one that most French kids had to read in 7th grade when I was a student is the 7th of the series: The Drinking Den, in English title

      2. We never read his works, and it is a shame that kids don’t read classics anymore. I studied in Italy so we did read Italian classics such as Dante, Manzoni, De André. I love De André’s poem La Guerra di Piero this war poem has stuck with me since my high school and I never forgotten about it. Wonder if we had read Zola back then it would have made an impression on me

      3. Cool that you read Dante though, his Italian is very difficult, even for natives

  2. We finally had a grey day with a cooler breeze yesterday! I loved it. Today was cooler with the wind, but in the sun it was very hot. Dislike 😂 I love House in the Cerulean Sea and would love to read the next one!

    Have a great week!

    1. Yeyy nice to have a bit of a cooler day! I hate summertime despite the fact that I am a summer baby, haha. And yess to the Cerulean Sea! The sequel was alright, I still loved the characters, I just did not appreciate how politically oriented it was, and the author’s afterword… I guess if you get to it, you will understand what I mean. Hope you have a wonderful week too, Emily!

      1. I love a cooler day. We had another one today and it was fabulous! Haha I am a Spring baby.

That’s very interesting. I have seen that people prefer the first to the second.

        Thank you 😊
