This is a book tag created by Laura @The Corner of Laura
It is created with the idea to celebrate the Spring Equinox and show how it is celebrated in different countries and cultures.

  1. The most colourful book on your shelves

A festival of colour celebrating the end of the winter and the colourful season ahead.

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke

There are so many to choose from, but I really love this cover, so I would go with this one as the most colourful!

  1. A book including or about a big family gathering

The Persian New Year involves several days of celebrations and family gatherings

Tom Lake by Ann Patchett

At the top of my head, this book comes to mind. I am yet to read it, but I know it is about family.

  1. A book that you consider a modern classic

A popular modern tradition to stand atop the pyramid on the Spring Equinox and soak up the sun’s first rays of the morning

Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

Definitely Everything I Never Told You or Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng to me feel like modern classics. Her writing and storytelling are simply amazing, at least to me!

  1. A book set on or around winter

A ceremony of cleansing and renewal. The biggest draw for tourists is the giant water fight.

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

I have not read the book yet, but have seen the 2019 movie adaptation, and it was winter.

  1. A book with flowers on the cover

A yearly tradition around enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossoms

The Forgetting by Hannah Beckerman

This book comes to mind; it is on my TBR!

  1. A book with a good mystery

Druids and pagans gather in their hundreds to celebrate the Spring Equinox. Though most historians are fairly confident that it was likely a religious site, no one is quite certain of what Stonehenge actually is.

A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

With a risk of being repetitive I just love this book and need to finish the series!

Now I will actually TAG a few fellow book-bloggers!

By all means, if you see this and want to do it, I TAG you too!!

    1. I know it is really stunning! Actually, I read winter instead of water, hence my response hahaha oh well I guess I have either a selective reading eye or some sort of dyslexia haha. I really hope you enjoy A Discovery of Witches. I have to complete the series as well, and can’t wait. Let me know if you ever pick it up!

      1. Aha that’s funny but it strangely works if you’re flexible with interpretations and that’s half the fun sometimes! Thank you 😀 I have my eye on the adaptation too but I haven’t wanted to watch it until I read it first lol. Okay will do 😀 !
