Happy Saturday, all! The day before Easter, although during the day it will be just the two of us, I am looking forward to it!

Now back to the books! SO ever since I saw Emma’s post @Pages of Emma I ought to try and purchase books from different sources. Albeit, here in Bulgaria, we are still quite limited when it comes to this aspect. I have been trying out Kobo and indeed their prices are a tad cheaper compared to Play Books (Google), Kindle, Audible and Fable. However, my excitement was cut short since it detects my IP is from Bulgaria and hence not eligible to buy e-books/books from there… Go figure. Which leads me to my second try, Storytel, which is the European equivalent of Audible. Annnd lo and behold, I am happy to tell you that I might be moving apps! Lol Storytel not only offers you a subscription (monthly, yearly and family + student discount), but that subscription already includes all of the books available in their library, so you don’t pay to listen to them like in Audible + the subscription! And it is only 14.99 BGN (6.67 GBP or 8.71 USD) a month, whereas Audible costs me 23 BGN ( 10.08 GBP or 13.38 USD) subscription only! And there are books in English, Spanish, Italian, and Bulgarian and a few more languages. I will try it out, and if you are interested in it, I will make a separate post and tell you all about it.

So this said, this month I will be trying out Storytel and am pausing my Audible for now. And now that I took you on a tangent, let me take you back to the actual meme of today! Shelve Stacking!

LIBRARY:

• Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan: there are 8 days left before my loan expires, and honestly, I don’t know if I will be able to get to this one, since there are other, more urgent ones waiting for me
• Brownstone by Samuel Teer and Mar Julia: this is a quick graphic novel I picked as a much-needed palate cleanser. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I resort to graphic novels lol
• Wintering by Katherine May: expires today, managed to read a bit but still have 25% left, will be waiting for the next hold to come through

ARCS/DRC:

• How to change habits: Using your wardrobe as a starting point by Alaya Aifel: I picked this as a nonfiction, it piqued my interest
• Their Mended Hearts by Angie Cole: this is going to be a read for a blog tour.

AUTHOR’S REQUEST:

• Roaring Through Life series by Mark Lyons: a non-fiction book series that I’m curious to read
• Red Moons and Silent Truths by Lydia Goldman: I am really looking forward to this one, as it is a memoir of a young English teacher living in Myanmar during the coup d’etat in 2021 and Covid-19
• Echoes of Oblivion by Charleston Lim: a hard-core sci-fi about AI that chooses to die rather than to exist..
• Daily Habits to Have More and Better Sex with Your Partner by Marijn Jorissen: this is out of my comfort zone, read, however, I thought to give it a try since it promises not only practical sexual advice but also intimacy and daily habits and maybe someone will benefit from it as well. The book is not yet live, so there are no links available, but I have the cover!
