Book Blogger Hop is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. The meme occurs weekly, on a Friday. Each week, a specific prompt is chosen, a book-related question for participants to address.

Today’s prompt: Do you know the Night Song in the Jungle? (submitted by Aishwariya @ Aishwariya’s LittLog)

I was really contemplating whether to do this meme this week or not, just because I don’t have much to say on the matter.

Certainly, I now know where it is coming from after a quick search on the internet, The Jungle Book lol I had my suspicion! Never read the book, but I watched the 1967 cartoon/movie when I was very little and I barely remember anything. I do remember Baloo and Mowgli and that’s it. No memory of the story or other characters whatsoever.

In 2016 a new movie came out and everyone was going crazy about it, but I never watched it I don’t feel intrigued by it and after watching the trailer I knew it would not be for me anyway. Same as The Lion King I watched it once as a kid and it left me traumatised when you know what happened so these types of tales are not for me.

If you love it great I am happy for you! Happy reading!

  1. I haven’t watched The Jungle Book in years, I remember loving many of the songs but not much about the story either

  2. I’ve seen the Disney version more than once and did watch the 2016 version. I haven’t read the book but it is on my TBR. A classic for sure.

  3. I’m familiar with some songs from The Jungle Book — Bare Necessities, Wanna Be Like You — but not that one!

    1. Apparently most people don’t know it by the looks of it. I certainly did not either. Hope you enjoyed it 🙂
