Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s prompt: Books I Did Not Finish (DNFed) (feel free to tell us why, but please no spoilers!)

Oh, boy… I always say that if a book is not doing it for you, just DNF it, there is no point in forcing yourself to finish something you do not like. This would be the equivalent of stuffing your mouth full of something you do not like and expecting not to throw it up right away, lol. Anyway, now that I have created that image for you, here are my DNFed books throughout my reading journey, surprisingly they are not many.

In no particular order:

  • Beer Fest by Lilo Moore: I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley, and I really thought I would like it since it has a different setting and an albino character, something I have never encountered before in a book. But yeah, it totally did not work for me it was flat, the writing was bland, the characters had no character at all and many other things that I will not discuss now. So yeah, DNFed at 78% here is my review if you are curious.
  • All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood: I am not going to go into this here this was one of the worst paedophilic agendas ever. It is worrisome how many women and mothers loved this I am flabbergasted and disgusted by this fact. My full rant review. If you loved this book and want to comment on how wrong I am, just spare yourself the energy, thanks. I do not want to deal with nor associate myself with such people nor the agenda that promotes this paedophilic glorification of such content in any form or shape like EVER! DNFed at 70%
  • Wyvern Awakening by Joanna Mazurkiewicz: I DNfed this book ages ago, it was a shabby and obnoxious Harry Potter knockoff… it was baaad, I don’t even remember at what % I DNFed it, but I vividly remember I did, lol
  • Deny the Moon by Melissa A. Graham: Another one from ages ago, DNFed at 20% was just a NOPE.
  • I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day 1 by Nachi Aono: Ah, another paedophilic content here. My review: how do these books even get approved? It makes me think a lot of people are sick in the head…

These are all the books I DNFed, as you can see, I am not afraid to stand up against paedos and speak up when I see such content, and I hope you do the same thing…

Happy reading 🙂

  2. Thank you for those warnings. I hate books that glorify that sort of stuff.

    1. Yes, they are becoming bolder trying to push this stuff by disguising it as something else.

    1. Glad you haven’t! It is really disturbing writing a love story about a 26 year old guy being attracted to an 8 year old child… this is for All the ugly and wonderful things, disguised as a love story. Anyway thank you so much for stopping by 🙂
