Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Marlene at Reading Realityand it is all about sharing the new books we’ve acquired, be it in physical, digital or audio format! All the books count 🙂

Ah, I have missed the previous ones, so I have a lot of catching up to do! Brace yourselves haha.

Clicking on the covers will take you to the Goodreads page of the books.

LIBRARY:

Speaking of tackling my almighty TBR, this graphic novel has been sitting there for quite a while now. I saw it was available in my library, and I took the chance!

Synopsis:

From the illustrator of the web comic Strong Female Protagonist comes a debut middle-grade graphic novel about family, identity, courage — and magic.
In thirteen-year-old Aster’s family, all the girls are raised to be witches, while boys grow up to be shapeshifters. Anyone who dares cross those lines is exiled. Unfortunately for Aster, he still hasn’t shifted . . . and he’s still fascinated by witchery, no matter how forbidden it might be. When a mysterious danger threatens the other boys, Aster knows he can help — as a witch. It will take the encouragement of a new friend, the non-magical and non-conforming Charlie, to convince Aster to try practicing his skills. And it will require even more courage to save his family . . . and be truly himself.

ARCS/DRC:

Some are from the authors, others from NetGalley and BookSirens.

KINDLE:

As I have said many times before, I always buy books when the deal is good or the price is reduced. All of the books below have been bought during Kindle Daily Deals!

I need to be realistic and maybe admit that I won’t be able to read all of the books I’ve got before I kick the bucket lol but I am a book hoarder so can’t help it.

Which ones do you have, and have you read any of these?

  1. Sweet Bean Paste is an easy to read and enjoyable story. One Night Hand Stand looks like a funny and clever read.

    1. Thank you, Dini! I know I can’t either I’m that bad, haha. About Almond, I know it is BTS’s favourite read, and they recommend it, so when I saw the price drop, I got it! Yes, I’m excited about The Witch Boy! The Dragon’s Apprentice hopefully I will get access to it since my email is not being approved on NetGalley I changed it recently, and there must have been some glitch, so fingers crossed that this will be sorted as I am doing a blog tour on it, haha and thank you I wish you the same and only 5 days to your trip! 🙂 bet you can’t wait

  3. Ah, I love that you are taking the chance to actually pick up some books from your TBR, I should try to use my stacking the shelves posts to do the same thing!
So many great looking books in your haul! The Dragon’s Apprentice is giving me 90’s children’s fantasy movie vibes and I love that! And One Knight Under Her Spell sounds AMAZING! That’s going right on my TBR 🙂 & speaking of ‘kicking the bucket’ my TBR is way longer than I can ever read and yet I keep adding to it on a daily basis. Noone can stop me 😈lol

    1. Yes!! I’m really bad when it comes to my TBR, haha. I’m not going to tell you the number it stands on, it is probably higher than Jack’s Beanstalk! TDA does give off these vibes haha it reminds me a bit of Merlin, the one from 1963, though haha, as for One Knight under her spell, I have high expectations, so let’s hope if you do pick it up as well that we both won’t be disappointed! No worries, we are not alone when it comes to the TBR we need to form TBR-dependent anonymous lol

      1. Ahaha Higher than Jack’s Beanstalk!🤣 I love it, and mine is probably another beanstalk right next to yours lol.Oh that’s fun, I loved that movie!
Yes, here’s hoping One Knight is as good as it sounds!
        Definitely, lmao!

Kate Mosse is someone I’ve always meant to read but haven’t found the ’round tuit’ yet. I try really hard not to think too much about the size of my own TBR because that would just be depressing and I like to have a choice about what to read next. I probably have several thousand choices at this point, but there are lots of considerably worse habits one could have so I’m sticking with the one I’ve got.
And THANKS SO MUCH for being part of Stacking the Shelves!

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by and for this great meme! I haven’t read anything of hers but when I saw the book on discount and read the premise I had to buy it. The TBR is an issue for me, too . I definitely have thousands of options 😅 and absolutely agreed this one habit I’d rather stick with as well.
      Happy reading 🙂

  8. What a haul! Kate Mosse’s Labyrinth is fantastic, I loved it when I read it (a looong while ago now but it has stuck with me).

I have Sweet Bean Paste on my tbr, it sounds cute.

    1. You are the 3rd person to tell me Labyrinth is good! I am so glad I got it 🙂 As for Sweet Bean Paste, I have heard only raving things, so I have fingers crossed we both will like it when we get to it
