Book Blogger Hop is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer
The meme occurs weekly, on a Friday. Each week, a specific prompt is chosen, a book-related question for participants to address.

This week’s prompt: What fantasy or Sci-fi should be part of the literary canon?

I would have so many to suggest here, but I will go with a few in both genres since I love fantasy and sci-fi.

FANTASY:

SCI-FI:

These are all books that I think about to this day after reading them ages ago… Some are well-known, the rest not at all, and I hope more people get to read the Sci-fi ones because they really touched too close to my comfort with their speculativeness, but that’s what made them great, at least in my eyes.

What are your picks? 🙂

  1. I have yet to read Strange the Dreamer but I know how beautiful Laini Taylor’s writing is. Daughter of Smoke and Bones is one of my favorite books.

    1. I really wanted to pick lesser-known authors, and these two really did an amazing job at speculative sci-fi 🙂

  5. What’s The House on the Cerulean Sea about? I’ve seen it around, but never actually knew what it’s about.

    1. In short, it’s about found family, love, peculiar children, accepting and embracing oneself, and just cosy vibes overall. There is MM romance but not going to spoil. I’d say it is a cosy fantasy
