REVIEW:
“Don’t look at me like that, Jesse. He looks at me like a woman masturbating on the subway waiting for the train”…
3 words: WHAT WAS THAT?!
No, seriously, what on earth was this? It feels like Ali is writing the same story, but in a different font. Every FMC has to be petite, quirky and in STEM (which nothing wrong with that, I guess that is her signature when it comes to writing), but every MMC has to be tall, handsome, BIG, huge, large, did I say big?
Nothing of value here, nada. The plot: non-existent, the main characters: no depth, no dimension, no brains! the story: p*rn like… So glad it was so short, I just would have DNFed it.
And what were those sex scenes? The whole talk was so weird, and who wants to read about
“shiny folds” and entering her so hard she could feel him in her mouth? what?
There was some stupid misunderstanding between the main characters that did nothing but make my eyes roll so hard they almost stuck at the back of my head. Ali, seriously? The sex scenes were so cringy and just no. Nope… And I thought the KNOT was bad…
Had she expanded on the relationship between the FMC and her father, the illness and the books, it would have been a better story.
1.5 stars, don’t bother.
