THE WEEK:

Happy Sunday! How was your week? Mine was very busy, we did finally sort out our wardrobe, it was a huge task, my husband looked after the little one. I started around midday after feeding her and finished at 6pm! That is a full working day for some, lol. To be honest, most of the stuff was mine and our daughter’s, hahah, so I went through everything and whatever I no longer wear, along with the baby clothes, we put in the donation container for people in need, which is literally next to us. The winter stuff my husband took to our house in my village.

I am taking it slow when it comes to the blog. You might have noticed that I skip some memes, and I will, for the time being, just so I can concentrate on the books I have in my backlog and do the reviews, so I can start reading the books I want. I no longer take ARCs or author requests (in case I really want to read something, I would, but for now, I am at a halt).

It comes a time when you realise you are about to burn out if you don’t slow it down, so this is exactly what I am doing in order to preserve myself. After my mum was unwell, something clicked in me, and I feel like I need some recovery time, so I picked up a hobby I had forgotten about, cross-stitching, and it really is helping me. I am doing it for my mum, who is a wedding dress seamstress, hence the sewing details. Also, my rose has 5 new buds and one flower. I trimmed some leaves that had to go, and had a day out with my family.

To all of you who stop by and comment and interact, I am always grateful and thankful! I try to get back to all of you and visit your blogs as well.

  2. Stepping back, taking the time you need to center yourself after big things happen in your life, sounds like the right way to go! It’s wild how things can get so quickly overwhelming, but I hope that you manage to catch up with your reads and continue to find joy in that old hobby that you love 🙂 That cross-stitch looks wonderful! 😍 Have a restful week ahead, Lin!

    1. Yes, sometimes it’s just needed, and you can’t do anything to change this course. It absolutely is! One moment, everything is going fine, and the next, you are barely on the surface.. thank you, Dini ♡ I really wanted to do something for her that is personal and she needs something nice so I am trying to finish it as quickly as possible haha besides it is a great way to get some audiobook listening in while the little one is with her dad outside or playing next to me 🙂 hope you have a great week and thank youu

    1. Absolutely yes. I tend to ignore my body when is telling me to slow down or stop interely and this has never brought me anything good, so this time around I thought better as I now have a family to take care of and in order to be able to do that i first need to have my head in the right space and adimitting that something is not right is the first step to recovery. And thank you, I am almost done with the cross-stitch and will put it in a frame and mail it to my mum, it will be a surprise. Will share when it is ready 🙂 I hope you manage to get to sort your stuff out too it definitely requires mental preparation before dealing with it hah
