Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Marlene at Reading Realityand it is all about sharing the new books we’ve acquired, be it in physical, digital or audio format! All the books count 🙂

Happy yet another Saturday! So, without too much of a rambling, here are my new additions!

LIBRARY:

Synopsis:

The Cat Who Saved Books is a heart-warming story about finding courage, caring for others – and the tremendous power of books.

Grandpa used to say it all the time: ‘books have tremendous power’. But what is that power really?

Read More:

Natsuki Books was a tiny second-hand bookshop on the edge of town. Inside, towering shelves reached the ceiling, every one crammed full of wonderful books. Rintaro Natsuki loved this space that his grandfather had created. He spent many happy hours there, reading whatever he liked. It was the perfect refuge for a boy who tended to be something of a recluse.

After the death of his grandfather, Rintaro is devastated and alone. It seems he will have to close the shop. Then, a talking tabby cat called Tiger appears and asks Rintaro for help. The cat needs a book lover to join him on a mission. This odd couple will go on three magical adventures to save books from people who have imprisoned, mistreated and betrayed them. Finally, there is one last rescue that Rintaro must attempt alone . . .

Sosuke Natsukawa’s international bestseller, translated from Japanese by Louise Heal Kawai, is a story for those for whom books are so much more than words on paper.

I am currently 26% in and quite enjoying it. It is getting on to something I just don’t know what it is yet, and I am curious to find out the message of this book.

ARCS/DRC:

Will she make yet another mistake?
But as she quickly discovers, Leo’s also distant and demanding, with absolutely no sense of humor. Evie’s sure she’s totally safe from falling for him.
It’s only when Miss Lovelock’s team takes charge of the pair’s romantic destiny that Evie starts to see a whole different side of Leo.
Will this be yet another success for Miss Lovelock, or has Evie been burned too many times to take a risk with her boss?

I saw this book at Hidden Gems Books and had to have it! It sounds funny and lighthearted.

KINDLE:

Clicking on the covers will take you to the Goodreads page of the books.

Just a disclaimer: At the moment, there is a huge Spring sale, and I, of course, took the opportunity to grab whatever my heart wanted due to the discounts, haha! At the time of purchase, the books were all discounted to £0.99 or roughly $1.28 each. Some of them might still be discounted as the deal is still ongoing!

Not going to lie, I definitely bought some of these because of the cover…
