Yessss, you guessed it! It’s time for another bookish meme!

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality, and it is all about sharing the new books we’ve acquired, be it in physical, digital or audio format! All the books count 🙂
Without further ado, here are the books I recently checked out from the library. I should also mention that I rarely buy books anymore for a couple of reasons. First, they can be quite expensive. Second, I prefer to purchase only the books that I truly love. As I get older, I’ve come to the conclusion that accumulating books I probably won’t enjoy or may never read feels unnecessary, so I choose to spend my money more thoughtfully.

This book is very different. I am only 30% in, and honestly, I have no idea what I am reading or how I feel about it. Hopefully, it will become clearer and better as I continue.

These books I am very excited about these, and I can’t wait to start them, I don’t know which one to pick up next, though I might have to use help from the public, haha
The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out Of The Window and Disappeared

NETGALLEY ARC
- Currently reading:

I requested this book because it piqued my interest. For starters, it is written by an author who has lived in Japan and has been married to a Japanese man for over 40 years. Therefore, I thought it would be interesting to read something different from the perspective of an expat who is well-travelled and knows local cultures and traditions closely. Additionally, I wanted to read something with diverse characters, and this looked like the perfect pick.

I received these books unsolicited by the publishing houses, for which I am very grateful. Truth is, I know nothing about these books, I totally judged them by their covers, lol, so I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and give them a chance who knows, I might end up loving the journey!

AUDIOBOOKS I BOUGHT ON AUDIBLE:
I still have my monthly subscription to Audible, which I absolutely love, and I do use my credits with the wisdom of a penni pitcher on a rainy day…
The sequel to my beloved book The House in the Cerulean Sea I can’t wait to listen to it to see how the saga continues and revisit my old friends 🙂

Before We Forget Kindness is the 5th book in another favourite series of mine. I have yet to read the previous book, but I already know I will love and enjoy every bit of it!
This is it, all of the books I have stacked up for now, and am itching to start reading and reviewing. What about yours? Tell me what gems are hiding in your most recent book haul!
