First of all Happy New Year to you all. Hope that this year will be filled with only good news and great books.

So to address the elephant in the room, yes I’ve got a newborn! Yeyyy we are beyond happy and grateful for this amazing gift. It was not an easy pregnancy, and I had an emergency delivery, but thank God it all went well and we both lived to tell the tale. I will spare you the details we have a beautiful daughter for privacy I will not be sharing any personal information regarding her name etc. and these will be the only photos that I will be uploading online of her. Not that anyone cares but still haha

Enough about me and let’s get back to business… Although it has been challenging I still managed to squeeze some books in between cries, colics, teething, sleepless nights and so on.

MINI REVIEWS OF THE BOOKS I READ IN JANUARY 2025

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This graphic novel was really a re-read for me, but I never completed the trilogy, hence I picked it up again. I love the story and the art and also the topics around anxiety, dealing with grief, bullying and healing.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Just like Sheets, Delicates covers some heavy topics as well, introduces us to a new character and as usual the art is amazing.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

It was a nice finish to the trilogy, but it was not as powerful as the previous books. I was going to give it 3 stars but the ending and how everything wrapped up nicely was what saved it for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

It was an OK read, it did not give me much of anything, to be honest. There was only one part that touched my heartstrings ever so slightly and was expecting more of this feeling, but it never came. I wanted someone to rescue me at the end…

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I remember watching the movie ages ago and I really remember loving it. After some years I did re-watch the movie and read the book it was MEH. The movie and the book were really bland. although we have more details and a lot going on in the book, it still left me with nothing. It was quite disappointing.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Here I want to say it was one of those times where the movie was actually better than the book! I really enjoyed the movie the book not so much.

I was more interested in the relationship between Jonah and Steve than I was with Ronnie and Will lol.

And what was that romance-to-thriller-to-psycho thing going on? Here Sparks tried to make a fusion of a lot of different genres only to turn it into a hot mess. MEH

For now, I think I am done with Sparks novels lol, hopefully, the next one I pick of his will be a better read for me.
