DRAGONS! Fire and steeeaaam take that as you will, this is all you need to know!

Right…. what in the name of every holly dragon book ever written was this!!!!!????

I knew this book was hyped and people were raving about it, I just did not expect it to live up to it… But man oh man I need more of this world, I need to know what happens next. This was like a movie playing in my head that I watched in 2 sittings. Loved the writing, the story, the characters, the DRAGONS, the twists and turns, and the political issues going on. Just yeah, loved it.

There was just one thing that did not sit well with me but all the rest made up for it and in the last chapters I was with my jaw wide open I needed a crane to lift it back up, and I even cried!!

So if you have not read this book already just go buy it or borrow it from your library or steal it I don’t care just go do it.

Just keep in mind that this is a new adult/adult fantasy that I would not recommend for anyone younger than 16/17.

SPOILER SECTION

Seriously I don’t know where to begin with this one. It was epic it was brutal it was sexy and it was wholesome.

Although I did love 99% of it, the remaining 1% was a tad annoying and I am referring to the sexy scenes which I did not mind per se, however, I wish we had more of the politics and the backstory than actually concentrating that much on the copulation of our two main characters Violet or “Violence” and Xaden. This said I really adore him and fell for his dark and mysterious vibes I guess he is my new fictional crush along with the Darkling (with whom he shares kind of similar powers?)

The author definitely did not shy away from killing favourite side characters, which I really appreciated. It felt like reading a Game of Thrones book, in all the good ways possible. That battle in the last few chapters was :

Even though I wept for Liam and his dragon I loved it, it was raw and horrible. I was hoping they would make it that Violet would do something and save them both….

The ending just got me stopping in my tracks and I had to pause the audiobook so I could stare at my wall and digest what I had been given! was soooo good did not see this one coming at all!

I’ve got so many questions now, did her mother know all along what was going on, especially with her brother? Was she pushing Violet so she could learn how to fight and eventually one day contribute to the upcoming war or was she just trying to get rid of her? I need to knowwww nowww aghhhhh so many questions…

You have guessed it I cannot wait for the next book to come out so I can devour it. Loved every bit of it.
