If you are looking for a quick, dark, and mysterious read this is definitely it! Otilla and the Skull find each other at a time when they both need someone. This is the perfect retelling of a folk tale that the author had read in a library in Alaska.
I listened to the audio version of this book that I got from my digital library, it was only 22 minutes long, but I enjoyed it a lot. It did remind me of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (I love this book) it has the same vibes.
Personally, I am not the horror, spooky type of a reader, but I find myself liking this genre when it is in a middle-grade format the best.
this would be me if I were to read an adult horror book LOL
I can see how this book will be enjoyed by children and adults. Highly recommended 🙂
Have you read this book? 🙂
