Boy this post is going to be slightly longer than my usual ones… Brace yourselves guys! You have been warned!
It is true, I have disappeared during March aaaand I noticed that too. Let me tell you what I have been doing until now.
Yeah.. it is a thing that takes the majority of my time and nerves and youth and soo on. Let’s not get into this topic cuz it is going to take forever. You get the idea.
I don’t know, it is like the eclipse. It is rare, but when it comes it lasts for quite a while… at least in my world LOL. I have recently discovered the acrylic paints and I AM IN LOOOOVEE with them. So I have been experimenting with paint and some fast sketching of poses and figure study as well. Below is some of my art for you to see how insanely obsessed I have been…
*this is a forest in the dark if you are wondering ^^*
All of the above ^ are acrylic paintings and some watercolours.
For this one I used only watercolours and gouache for the highlights.
All the drawings below are my fast sketches from real life and pics as well as some studies:
I used Stranger Things cast photo as reference, here is the original:
Love that tv show!! Cannot wait for the 3rd season
A special shout out to one of my newly discovered favourite artist CHRIS HONG!!
The next drawing of the little girl and her teddy bear is a study I made of a piece of hers, she is amazingly talented and such a great inspiration! I will leave her links down below for you to check her out on Instagram, Youtube and her website.
Due to my work schedule and the fact that I live in the city, I barely have the physical time to visit my family even on the weekends, as I work then too. Fun/sad story, my cousins and I established that we have not seen each other since 2016… When one of my cousins came to visit her parents from the UK we have decided to meet up. She has a sister and both of them have two girls one of the age of 1 and the other of the age of 4.
On Easter I went to visit my grandparents. I managed to surprise them, they did not see it coming haha. My grandmother celebrates Easter as she has a name day then and here in Bulgaria it is a tradition to come at the home of the person that is celebrating without invite. This shows that you have respect for that person and everyone is welcome to join. It is mostly family members and close family friends that will visit. On that day we also paint eggs and when we all gather together on the table each person picks an egg and we have to knock it. The person that is left with a whole unbroken egg will have health during the whole year ^^. As you would say, places you visit, traditions you find. Not sure if this is the correct way of saying it but oh welll.
It is amazing how being with your family even for a few days can charge you with positive energy and make you soo happy.
After those visits I came back to my flat and to my little babies. They were reading with me as well 🙂
Aghhh you have no idea how happy I wasss when I saw thissss in the mail:
I forgot that I ordered Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and Simon Vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertally!!
I started playing DOTA and Paladins

And I must tell you we ROCK! We had 4 wins in a row (this was my first time playing these games… I did not know what I was doing… but we did it ok??)
Now enough with the life updates let us move to the BOOKS!!
