Heart and Brain: Body Language: An Awkward Yeti Collection

by The Awkward Yeti, Nick Seluk

Expected publication: October 3rd 2017 by Andrews McMeel Publishing

From the New York Times bestselling creator of the hugely popular Awkward Yeti comics comes the third collection in his Heart and Brain series.

Heart and Brain: Body Language continues the adventures of the loveably conflicted sentimental Heart and rational Brain, as well as other bodily inhabitants like Gallbladder, Muscle, and Tongue.

Warm-hearted and laugh-out-loud funny, these comics bring our inner struggles to vibrant, humorous life.

Now if my organs could speak and converse among each other, this would be the perfect example of how their conversations would go. Also thanks to this book I got to understand one important thing

I am not the only one that her brains wakes up at 3 a.m because it has to check the phone notifications, or simply because it remembered something and wanted me to think and over-think about it in the middle of the night… And more the gut is grumpy!!! And growls for no reason! Oh for brains’ sake stomach top doing it! -.-

Funny, witty and 100% relatable I loved this.

Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman

by Loryn Brantz

Expected publication: September 26th 2017 by Andrews McMeel Publishing

Home manicure tips, awkward seduction techniques, scoping out the snack table, and—most important—prioritizing naps: Lady Stuff reveals these womanly secrets and more. In sections like “Grooming and Habitat Maintenance,” “Mating Habits,” and others, these brightly colored, adorable comics find the humor in the awkwardness of simply existing.

Like the work of Sarah Andersen, Gemma Correll, and Allie Brosh, Loryn Brantz’s Jellybean Comics are accessible and funny; lighthearted takes on the author’s everyday experiences and struggles being a woman.

OMG ladies! Whatever you are doing stop. Take this graphic novel and read it.

This was hilariously awesome and soooooo relatable. I literally finished it within 30 minutes and laughed aloud through the whole read (I might have scared a bit my cats because they stared at me with the ” she’s finally lost it” expression…)

Loryn you are my spirit animal and I love you! Absolutely 1000% recommended to all girls, women out there.

Plus I loved the art work <3

  1. Brain wakes up at 3am to check notifications xD that’s kind of funny. You know though, I used to wake up to write down my dreams 😀 that’s still back when I remembered them. Now I am kind of struggling with that 😀
The Lady Stuff book seems positively amazing! I just quoted at least half to my mom. The cat one is spot on! And the last one is why my boyfriend cooks and not me xD

    1. Hahah yesss the brain is a mysterious creature o.o

Oh wooow I used to do the same thing, but I stopped dreaming or if I did I do not remember like anything. Or in the worst case scenario I have nightmares that I do not wish to recall so writing them down is out of question unless I am not some horror addict aspiring author lool

The lady stuff comic was amazingggg I highly recommend it and you would be able to relate to it no matter how olddd seriously sooo glad you stopped by <3

          1. It’s about having more dreams or even having lucid dreams (where you know that you’re dreaming and you can do whatever you want.) But I’m not doing very well cause I can’t spare too much time for it xD

          2. Ohhh this sounds soo awesomeeee I totally would enjoy reading this!! And I know the thing with not having enough time is read and it hurtsssss :/ anyway keep me updated on the story I am curiouss 🙂
